Q: What technology stack do you use?
A: NetLive Software specializes in Microsoft technology. Our custom programming is mostly done in C# on the .NET Framework. Our database work is mostly done in
MS SQL Server. Website programming is done in ASP.NET using C#, XHTML, and JavaScript. There are always exceptions, however, as no two projects are ever alike.
Q: Do you offshore the work you do?
A: Never. When you contract with NetLive Software that's where the buck stops. All work is performed in facilities right here in
the United States by programmers and engineers under direct control and supervision of NetLive Software. No work is ever off-shored to
third-world countries. We guarantee our results because we produce them ourselves.
Q: Do you hire H1-B labor (cheap imported labor)?
A: No. NetLive Software requires that all programmers and engineers have United States citizenship or permanent residency status
prior to joining the company.
Q: Are you a recruiting company?
A: Not at all. We directly perform all work that is contracted to us.
Q: I'm a recruiter with a customer in need of your services. Will you work through me?
A: We work directly with our customers and do not work through intermediaries or other layered hierarchies. However, we would be willing to pay a finder's fee to
anyone that refers a paying
customer to us. If you are a recruiter and are interested in referring your potential customer to us, visit our
Contact Us Page to open a discussion with us about the arrangement.
Q: I need someone to work onsite at my company. Will you do that?
A: NetLive Software performs all work as an independent consultant with no exceptions. We recognize that sometimes our duties require, or the customer just prefers, us
to be at their location. We are willing to accommodate these situations on a case-by-case basis. Travel charges will be billed according to
NetLive Software's Travel Policy.
Q: I need a programmer for a temporary assignment. Can I just rent one from you?
A: No. NetLive Software is not a recruiting or placement agency. If you would like to contract your assignment to NetLive Software, visit our
Contact Us Page to get started.
Q: Will you sign a W-2 with my company? Do I have to issue you a 1099?
A: NetLive Software performs all work as an independent consultant with no exceptions. NetLive Software is taxed as a corporation under IRS rules.
We are not able to accommodate W-2 arrangements with any of our customers, and our customers are not required to issue any tax documentation to us.
Q: Will you sign a non-disclosure agreement?
A: No. NetLive Software is committed to protecting our customer information and will not disclose anything without permission. However, we do not have
the resources to review, execute, and maintain custom agreements with every potential customer that we speak with.
Q: Will you sign a non-compete agreement?
A: No. NetLive Software's standard customer contract covers all necessary protections for both NetLive Software and our customers. No additional
protections are needed nor will be considered.
Q: How long have you been in business?
A: NetLive Software began business in 1999 and formally incorporated in 2002.
Q: I have a large project. How many people do you have available?
A: All projects are initially assigned to one person. Additional programmers and engineers are added to projects on an as-needed basis. We
will determine whether or not we have the capacity for your project during
your initial consultation with us.
Q: Are you hiring?
A: Not at this time. Any future openings will be posted on this website.
Q: Do you have internships?
A: Not at this time. NetLive Software is always evaluating its options and may choose to host internships in the future, but for now there are no plans to do so.
